Keir Starmer has been throwing the kitchen sink at the previous government. He used every trick in the book to pin blame for the collapsing country on the outgoing Conservatives. First came blame-mongering, then they pulled out the calculator and number crunched the hell out of the deep fiscal hole. Now it's doom and gloom... like we need that again. Was it not meant to be about change and hope?
A journalist invited to his latest blamefest in the Rose Garden at 10 Downing Street asked if he wasn't being a bit of a whiner instead of just rolling up his fashionable new sleeves and fixing the country. Starmer (to say it delicately) lost it in the Rose Garden. Or maybe he had just had a couple too many... Not so different from his predecessors after all.
