Manchester City Scandal Ripping English Soccer!
Photo-cartoon: The UK's leading soccer club say they are innocent of charges.
After an investigation lasting a number of years, the Premier League stated that it had charged Manchester City football club with more than a hundred breaches of financial rules from 2009 to 2018.
Regarding charges that they have artificially inflated the money coming into the club, with particular respect to commercial and sponsorship deals - they plead innocence saying they seem to have ‘lost the money’.
Other charges relate to City allegedly having artificially deflated the costs (try saying that after a couple) of running the club by having managers on contracts with another company connected to the owners so they only put through a small element of the real cost of managing the club through the books. On this charge the Abu Dhabi owners claim innocence since they seem to have ‘lost the managers’.
